A shiny creature-like form sits on top of ruffled porcelain sheets poised on a plinth or altar. This piece is created to evoke an emotional response from the viewer. The arachnid leg and claws coated in rich dark glazes create an intriguing contrast to the subtle, delicate sheets of porcelain. The form was created to explore concepts of fear and the of cathartic rituals we use to alleviate ourselves of it.
